The primary role of the Fraud & Risk Team is to prevent and detect fraud across our online gaming platforms. The Fraud Risk Analyst role involves utilising several detection techniques in-order to identify high risk accounts, detect unusual activity, investigate and subsequently close suspicious accounts to mitigate risk and protect revenue losses to the business.

Shifts range between 09:00 and 18:30 covering a 7-day rota (based on a 37.5 hour week), but over the next 6 months the team will be reviewing this with a potential to become a 24/7 team with morning, evening, and night shifts.

The position forms part of the Customer Due Diligence department and reports directly to the Fraud and Risk Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be involved with the delivery of proactive projects, to further improve the effectiveness and efficiently of the Fraud and Risk team.
  • Chargeback administration and case management
  • Complete a variety of account and payment administration tasks relating to these issues
  • Identification of suspicious activity using the fraud monitoring tool and other systems
  • Minimising lost revenue by the review of fraudulent activity and risk profiles
  • Monitoring site for suspicious activity and fraudulent transactions and signs of promotion / abuse, passing of funds and other prohibited acts
  • Part of a team responsible keeping site free of cybercrime
  • Performing initial investigations and taking immediate corrective action to mitigate losses to the business
  • Reviewing and monitoring member account registration, deposit and withdrawal transactions
  • You will be responsible for the checking all financial transactions in accordance with our KYC and AML policy

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Ability to manage workload effectively and in a timely manner
  • Accurate data input skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken (dealing with members, internal departments and third parties including banks).
  • High level of attention to detail and absolutely trustworthy
  • Knowledge of Fraud prevention, detection and investigation
  • Numerate with excellent analytical skills
  • Problem solver and fact finder.
  • Proficient in the use of standard IT packages (especially Excel)
  • Understanding of international online payment methods
  • Team player and self-starter who is able to work on own initiative, with a can-do attitude.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • At least 12 months online gaming industry experience essential, ideally within a payments or security role.
  • Educated to an A-Level Standard or higher.
  • Knowledge of KYC, Money Laundering detection methods and regulation
